Dorothy J. Reins, 90, of Sterling, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Dorothy was born on July 22, 1924, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Taber) Botma in Grand Rapids, MI. She married Wayne G. Reins on January 9, 1948 in Grand Rapids, MI. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2008. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Jerry) Hinrichs, of Lyndon, and Marilyn (Randy) Jacobs, of Prophetstown; one son, Kenneth W. (Jean Floming) Reins, of Chadwick; one sister, Delores Albrecht, of Grand Rapids, MI; one brother, Arthur R. (Mary Lou) Botma, of Six Lakes, MI; two grandchildren, Matthew E. (Amber Tharp) Jacobs and Christopher A. Jacobs; and one great-granddaughter, Lyla Jean Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister, Lois Bomers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 10 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sterling, with Reverend Donald Matthiessen officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM, Friday, April 17, 2015, at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be held at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Sterling. A memorial has been established.
