Alma Johnson

Alma J. Johnson, 93, of Spartanburg SC formerly of Malvern, IL died Tuesday April 23, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Alma was born on October 2, 1930 the daughter of Albert and Alice (Koenes) Seaman. She married Elmer Edward Johnson on October 17, 1949 at the Fulton Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1998.


Survivors include four sons Galen (Deb) Johnson of Morrison, Jeff Johnson of Morrison, Ronald (Wendy) Johnson of Sterling, and Mel Johnson of Morrison; three daughters Janie (Pete) Truitt of Morrison, Elaine (Mike) Karg of Spartanburg, SC and Eunice (Carlos) Interone of Park City UT; two brothers Burton (Rita) Seaman of Morrison, and Gary (Judy) Seaman of Morrison; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.


She was also preceded in death by one brother Cecil Seaman.


Funeral service will be 11AM Wednesday May 1, 2024 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, with pastor Phil Heuser, officiating. Visitation will be prior to the funeral at the church from 9:30AM-11AM. Burial will take place immediately following at Hopkins Cemetery.


A memorial has been established.
