Ada May (Jones) Friesen, 92 of Sterling passed away Saturday June 20, 2026 at her home. Ada was born March 30, 1934 in Veteran, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Del B. “Fred” and Nellie (Watson) Jones. She married Leslie G. Friesen on August 17, 1952. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2007.

   Ada was a lifelong member of the Reformed Mennonite Church.

   Survivors include two daughters Nonis (Dr. David) Beauchamp, and Maryl (Roy) Leaman-Boiling Springs, PA; three sons Max (Ann) Friesen-Erie, IL, George Friesen, and Eric (Cindy) Friesen-Sterling; twelve grandchildren John Leaman, Ross (Heidi) Leaman, Glen (Bethany) Leaman, Carl (Marilyn) Leaman, Earl Leaman, Kristopher Rippy, Elisha (Destry) Harper, Elijah Friesen, Krystal (Cody) Spencer, Erica Friesen, Emily (Michael) Stinnett; and thirteen great-grand-children. Also, many nieces and nephews across the provinces of Canada.

   Ada was preceded in death by her parents Fred (Nellie) Jones; husband Leslie; one grandson Dillon Beauchamp; two brothers Walter (Helen) Jones, and Delby (Margaret) Jones; one sister E. Marie (Vernon) Young.

   Visitation will be 6PM-8PM Thursday June 25, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation. Funeral services will be 11AM Friday June 26, 2026 at the Reformed Mennonite Church in Sterling. Please omit flowers.
