Amarion Green

STERLING-Amarion Joshua Green, 17, of Sterling, died Saturday, February 8, 2020. Amarion was born February 6, 2003 in Sterling, the son of Joshua D. Green and Antionette Jones. Amarion was a junior at Sterling High School, he enjoyed playing football, basketball and video games. He was currently employed at the Sterling Theater. Amarion had a contagious smile, and enjoyed making others laugh. Survivors include his mother, Antionette Jones of Sterling; father, Joshua (Billie) D. Green of Sterling ;four sisters, Jaylah Green, Joslyn Green and Raquel Green, all of Sterling and Najeyah Wallace of Freeport; one step-brother Aysen Green; maternal great-grandmother, Deloris Hillard of Elgin; maternal grandfather Larry Crain Sr., of Rockford; paternal grandparents, Sonja Green and James Robinson, both of Sterling; maternal aunt, Tina (Eric) Wren of Sterling; paternal aunts, Ashlyn Jones of Loves Park and Alysha Crain of Machesney Park; maternal uncles, Antwon Jones of Rockford, Aaron Crain of Sterling and Larry Crain, Jr. of Rockford; paternal uncles, Jeffrey Green of Sterling, Winston Green of Rock Falls and James Ford of Chicago; godmother, Lauren Lee; special aunt Tonya Lumzy and a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Carolyn Crain; maternal great-grandmother, Sylvia Jones and great-grandfather, John Henry Green, Sr., of Sterling. Visitation will be from 1PM -5 PM Sunday February 16, 2020 at the Big Red Church, Sterling. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Monday, February 17, 2020 with visitation prior to funeral from 10-12 PM at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling with Reverend Jeff Coester, officiting.
