Barbara L. Glazier, 72, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at her daughter’s home. Barbara was born October 13, 1944 in Sterling, the daughter of Kenneth Mulnix and Helen Francis. She married James Glazier on April 13, 1993 in Sterling. Barbara worked as a bartender in the Sterling area and detasseled for several years with her husband. She was a woman who set examples of how to live, love and forgive. She enjoyed helping others such as volunteering at WHOA (therapeutic riding program). She enjoyed horseback riding and shopping. Survivors include her husband, James of Sterling; three daughters, Rebecca Douglass of Sterling, Vickie (Tim) Schmitt of Harmon and Tracy (Ryan Camps) Barron of Sterling, two sons, David Scott (Christy Brinkmeier) Douglass of Sterling and Brant (Chariti) Douglass of Sterling; one step-daughter, Lori (Scott) VanOosten of Sterling; three step-sons, David (Sandy) Glazier, Zack Glazier and Joshua (Billie Jo) Glazier, all of Sterling; two sisters, Nancy Zweep of Beloit and Sharon Hurd of Prophetstown; three half siblings Kim Neisewander, Kenneth Mulnix, and Kevin Mulnix; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Jane Cook, Edith Wilson and Sally Urban; two brothers, Dick Wisden and Lester Mulnix and one grandson, Dawson Camps. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, with the Reverend Scott Porter, of Abiding Word Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
