Rock Falls - Christine Holland, 91, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 7, 2019 at CGH Medical Center of Sterling. Her journey began on March 10, 1927 in Sikeston, MO the daughter of John and Alma (Pyron) Rimmer. She married the love of her life Raymond Holland at West Helena Baptist Church in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on August 13, 2005 . Christine worked many years for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company. She was a charter member at the Harvest Time Bible Church, and will be remembered for her devotion to Christ and loving spirit. She was always a faithful wife, loving mother, and a friend to any one she met. She adored her family and spending time with her grandkids, who will miss her hugs and sweet kisses. She was a woman of commitment and lived and breathed her faith in Christ. She taught us to eat dessert first and enjoy each day we’ve been blessed with; to be kind, faithful, loving and non judgmental. She held herself up with dignity and grace and her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever. Survivors include, her children, Linda (Fred) McCloud of Rock Falls, and Wayne Holland (Elaine) of Delaware; daughter in law, Nicola Holland of Georgia; sister, Mildred McClain of Arkansas; brothers, Troy and Coy Rimmer both of Arkansas; grandchildren, Dawn (Brian) Carbaugh of Sterling, Krista (Leo) McCloud- Hernandez of Rock Falls, Sean (Cindy) Holland of Germany, and Courtney (Chris) Hernandez of Georgia; great grandchildren, Brianna Carbaugh of Sterling, Paige (Jon) Holland of Byron, Allison (Mike) Arnold of Texas, Kora Magill of Sterling, Devin and Emilee Holland of Germany, and Savannah Vazquez, Arianna and Magdeleno Hernandez all of Georgia; and great great grandchildren, Kaenyn, Brohnx, Caster and Reagan. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Chestine Holman - Huckaba and Ruth Geniva; sister in laws, Dorothy and Gladys Rimmer; brother in laws, Orville Huckaba, Chet Holman, and Roy McClain. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls with Pastor Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Visitation will take place from 10-11 one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Memorials are dedicated to Harvest Time Bible Church.
