Charles Hendrix

STERLING - Charles “Dave” Hendrix, 70, of Sterling, died, Monday, October 14, 2019 at UW Health University Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. Dave was born January 14, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Charles Franklin and, Raye (Smith) Hendrix, Jr.. He married Vicky Hansen on March 29, 1969 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2019. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family, especially supporting his grandchildren in all their activities. He worked extremely hard to provide for his family, with most of his career spent at Northwestern Steel & Wire. Dave was a proud Vietnam Veteran having served his country in the United States Army. Survivors include one son, Troy (Brandi) Hendrix; son-in-law, Jason Graham; two sisters, Kathy Urtz and Jennifer Avant; two brothers, Paul Hendrix and Greg Hendrix; six grandchildren, Hayden, Brandt, Taylor, Chase, Ainsleigh, Jackson and two great grandchildren, Mia and Knox. He was also preceded in death by his parents, wife, Vicky Hendrix; one daughter, Dawn Graham, and brother Mike Hendrix.
