David Siex

   David Siex, 90 of Sterling died Thursday January 8, 2026 at Allure of Sterling. David was born October 27, 1935 in Dixon the son of Lawrence and Violet (Wallen) Siex. He married Sharon Roth on September 14, 1963 in Rock Falls.

   Dave proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked at Frantz Manufacturing for over 40 years until his retirement. Dave was an avid Sterling Warriors and Chicago Bears fan. He loved dogs of all kinds, was a member of Jaycees, enjoyed golfing and basking in the sun.

   Survivors include his wife Sharon of Sterling; one son Curtis (Kerri) Siex of West Jordan UT; one daughter Jill (Karl) Schmidt: one brother-in-law Forrest Rogers of FL; two grandchildren Abbie Siex, and Jason Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews.

   Dave was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Elaine Rogers.

   The Siex family would like to thank Heritage Woods staff, Allure of Sterling staff, Dr. Reter and staff, CGH Medical Center, Gaffey Home Nursing & Hospice and Unity Hospice for their care and compassion.

   Visitation will be 6PM-8PM Wednesday January 14, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Funeral services will be 11AM Thursday January 15, 2026 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sterling, with Pastor Paul Lee, officiating. There will also be a visitation period 1 hour prior to the funeral services at Wesley United Methodist Church from 10AM-11AM on Thursday January 15, 2026. Graveside services will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.

   A memorial has been established to Wesley United Methodist Church.
