Donna Lee Lenhart of Lake Carroll, Illinois, passed away on May 7, 2026. Donna was born on February 1, 1941 and married the love of her life, Larry Lenhart, on September 17, 1961. Together they built a life centered around faith, family, and hard work, raising two children — Lori (Clark) Carroll of Lanark, Illinois, and Doug (Julie) Lenhart of Ames, Iowa.

Donna and Larry were blessed with four grandchildren: Derek (Kayla) Carroll and Drew (Taylor) Carroll, both of Lanark, Illinois; Zachary (Kirsten) Lenhart of Clive, Iowa; and Luke Lenhart and his girlfriend Jordan of Loveland, Colorado. Their growing family also includes five great-grandchildren — Beckett and Brynleigh Carroll, Coe and Darby Carroll, and Camron Lenhart — each of whom brought Donna endless joy.

Donna graduated from Sterling School of Beauty. Soon after graduating she opened and operated her own salon. After she and Larry married she became an integral partner in building their successful farming business.

Donna had a wide circle of friends and loved spending time with them. Throughout the years she enjoyed playing golf, mahjong and various card games. She was an avid reader and cherished the friendships made through her book club. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life. From her early years at First Lutheran Church of Jordan in Sterling, Illinois — where she devoted many hours to volunteer service — to her recent membership at Bethel Methodist Church in Shannon, Illinois, Donna’s commitment to her faith community never wavered.

Above all, Donna’s greatest joy came from her family. She was their most devoted supporter, traveling near and far to cheer on her grandchildren at countless games and events. Her loving presence and radiant smile will be dearly missed in the crowd.

A very special moment in the family’s recent history was Donna and Larry dancing together as the longest married couple at their grandson’s wedding, a true testament to the longstanding love within the family.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Dorothy Harris.

She is survived by her husband Larry her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her sister Carol Fisher of Woodbury Minnesota and her brother Philip Harris of Rockford Illinois.

A private family prayer vigil will be held in Donna’s honor.
