It is with heavy hearts we share that Dorothy Wilson of Dixon, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 10,2026. She was a beloved mother  a cherished nanny and her presence will be dearly missed. She was born June 4,1953 in Dixon, Illinois the daughter of Raymond Johns and Mable Geiger. She married Russell Wilson on October 21,1977.

   Dorothy is survived by her 2 daughters Angela Wilson of Polo, Illinois, Nicole Wilson of Sterling, Illinois; one son Eric Wilson of Dixon, Illinois and a step-son Shawn Wilson of Rockfalls, Illinois; 7 grandchildren: Kari McCullough, Alyssa Jackson, Ramsey Shroyer, Kimberly McCullough, Jakov Mekeel, Mykah O’Brien, and Cloe Wilson; Three bonus grandchildren: Eli Wilson, Jesse Wilson, and Makenzie Wilson; 6 great grandchildren: Levi, Miah, Isla, Koen, Silas, and Cruz; One sister, Sherry Donovan of Clinton, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her husband Russell in 2024, her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

   A celebration of life will be held at Woodcote/ Lowell Park on September 2 from 2-6 pm.
