Edith Woodson

EDITH IRENE WOODSON STERLING - Edith Irene Woodson, 103, formerly of Arkansas, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at CGH Medical Center. Edith was a homemaker. Edith was born July 8, 1908 in Imboden, AR, the daughter of Robert Calvin Stevens and Mary Ward. She married Clay Woodson on April 17, 1926 in Walnut Ridge, AR. She attended Midway Assembly of God Church, in Walnut Ridge, AR. Survivors include one son, Billy (Jewel) Woodson, of Sterling; one daughter-in-law, Kathaleen (Miller) Woodson; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay; one son, James Woodson; two sisters; and two brothers. Graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge, AR. Local arrangements were made by Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. A memorial has been established.
