A special thank you to ALL of the staff at Citadel and the residents who became friends.
Without all of you, she would not have been able to live the happy life that she did in her later years.
Living in the shadow of dementia can be a scary place and you all did everything you could to help her through. Whether being someone that she wanted you to be on any given day or stopping her from going for a walk outside (daily) or brushing and feeding her cats. French braiding her hair, making sure she wasn’t frightened in the shower. The favorite banana that would just show up because you all knew they were her favorite snack. The ability to sneak those meds in, you’re amazing. You never gave up on her. For all of this, we are forever grateful!
