Helen Tillman

BETTENDORF- Helen Jewel (H. J.) Tillman, 76, of Sterling died October 4, 2019 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf Iowa. Jewel was born March 20, 1943 in Sterling, the daughter of Hubert H. and Blanche E. (Brown) Lamb. She was married to Curtis B. Tillman from June 13, 1964 to November 10, 1976. Jewel was a private music teacher who taught piano and accordion. Most of her life was devoted to her family. Survivors include one daughter Chandos “Candy” Tillman of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter in infancy Catherine Ann. Visitation will be from 10AM-11AM on Thursday October 10, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Graveside services to follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, with Pastor Jeff Coester, officiating. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com
