Hope Sanchez

Hope H. Sanchez, 80 of Sterling passed away Saturday August 2, 2025 at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling. Hope was born October 11, 1944 in Sterling the daughter of Carlos (Consuelo) Urrutia.

Survivors include five sons Joe (Angie) Lopez, Mike (Shelly) Lopez, Israel (Robin) Lopez, David Lopez, and Frank (Gina) Lopez; two sisters Josie Coronado, and Annie Aguilar; one brother John Urrutia; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Hope was preceded in death by her parents; two sons Steven Lopez and Brian Lopez; four brothers Raymond, Tony, Carlos, and Steve Urrutia; and one grandson Sean Lopez.

Visitation will be 4PM-6PM Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Cremation rites will then be accorded and burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
