PROPHETSTOWN – Jeffrey Voo, died Sunday July 11,2021, at Winning Wheels of Prophetstown. Jeffrey was born on March 15, 1964 in Chicago Heights, the son of David and Judy (Chia-Dee) Voo. Jeff is united with his mother Judy in a much more peaceful and tranquil place. During Jeff’s youth, he graduated from the Homewood-Flossmoor High School and was active in their gymnastics team. In May 1985, he received an Associate in Arts degree from the Prairie State College and then transferred to Oklahoma State University. He then continued his education at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. He was critically injured in Dekalb on October 21, 1986 from a head injury. The medical diagnosis was cerebral aneurysm. He lived at home in Flossmoor with his parents and in the year 2000 was admitted to Winning Wheels in Prophetstown, Illinois. During the time Jeff spent in Dekalb, Jeff studied art and followed the Joseph Holmes Dance Group. Jeff was an up and coming artist and 17 of his drawings of the Joseph Holmes Dancers were presented at a Drawing Exhibition at the Egyptian Theatre later in 1986. Jeff considered this activity the “Most fulfilling reward he has gained over the past year”. Survivors of Jeff’s family include Jeff’s father, David. Brothers Anthony (Wendy) Voo and two nephews, Justin and Brian, from Sacramento, CA and Kenny (Kim) Voo of Auckland, New Zealand, and a sister Karen Voo of Henderson, Nevada and two nieces, Lauren and Samantha, from Elgin, Illinois. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Jeff will be resting peacefully at The Good Shepherd Cemetery at the Mausoleum site in Orland Park, IL. united with his mother, Judy.
