JoAnne Alexander, 78, of Sterling, passed away Saturday October 17, 2026 at Allure of Pinecrest in Mt. Morris, IL. JoAnne was born April 5, 1948 in Galesburg the daughter of Robert and Martha (Hough) Adams. She was married to Michael Alexander.

   Survivors include one son Adam (Dawson) Penaflor; three daughters Melissa (Jason Bird) Steck, Jill (Allen) Feary, and Jodi Hoyle; three sisters Janet Elder, Joyce Fosset, Judy Sneed; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.

   JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; husband Michael; one son Alan Hoyle; and one grandson Codie McCoy.

   Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will take place from 1PM-4PM November 21, 2026 at Plum Creek Club, 641 Palmyra Road Dixon, IL.
