Joe Billings

Joe W. Billings Jr., 85 of Sterling died Wednesday August 30, 2023 at CGH Medical Center. Joe was born October 1, 1937 in Chilhowie VA the son of Joe and Bradley (Duncan) Billings Sr.. He married Alice Royer on August 2, 1958 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on December 7, 2022.

Joe was active in attending car shows, and enjoyed working on his 1949 Chevy pickup.

Survivors include three sons Jerry (Mindy) Billings of Sterling, Joe (Dawn) Billings of Sterling, Jeff (Roxanne) Billings of Rock Falls; one daughter Jaini (Joe) Driscoll of Morrison; nine grandchildren Jory (Jeanne) Billings, Jasmin Nehring, Ryan (Melissa Brown) Billings, Drew (Melissa) Hall, Hailey (Ciera) Hall, Morgan (Corey) Judd, Corey Billings, Kyle Billings, and Nick Powell; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Joe was also preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday September 2, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling, with Scott Porter, of Abiding Word, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, from 10AM-11AM. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
