John "Jay" Lawrence Jr.

   John “Jay” Alden Lawrence Jr., 65, passed away on November 11, 2025. Following in his father’s footsteps, he was the CEO for Lawrence Brothers for over twenty years prior to starting his own company, Generation 4 Sales. Jay was born July 11, 1960 in Sterling, the son of John Alden Lawrence Sr. and Shirley Mae Schmitt Lawrence.

   Jay’s greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren, and Chicago sports. He was loyal to the White Sox, Bulls, and Bears the same way he was loyal in every other part of his life.

   Survivors include his daughter, Tori (Nick) Sabella of St. Charles, IL; his three sons, Trey (Gabrielle) Lawrence of Medford, MA, Will Lawrence of Ames, IA, and Mick Lawrence of Fort Collins, CO; his mother, Shirley Lawrence, his siblings, and his two grandchildren, Aurora and Penelope.

   A visitation will be held from 12-2PM Sunday, November 16th at the Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, IL.

   A memorial has been established.
