Joyce Jacobs

Joyce M. Jacobs, 86, of Sterling died Monday September 11, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Joyce was born October 22, 1936 Morrison the daughter of Kenneth and Martha (Stralow) Fowler. She married Ralph Jacobs on August 6, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2023.

Joyce's priority in life was showing her love for family by baking and cooking for all gatherings. She also showed her love for her family by giving each grandchild a hand sewn afghan.

Survivors include two sons Larry (Barbara) Jacobs of Roscoe, and Stephen (Debra) Jacobs of Sterling; two daughters Connie (Mike Santos) Grobe of Dixon, and Michele (Eugene Casale) Bellows of Sterling; one brother Jerry (Judy) Fowler of Rock Falls; one sister Diane (Riley) Arellano of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother Vernon Fowler.

Funeral service will be 11AM Friday September 15, 2023 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation. Visitiaton will be one hour prior to the service from 10AM-11AM. Burial will take place immediately following at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established.
