Juana T. Cervantes, 73, of Sterling passed away Thursday April 23, 2026 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL. Juana was born July 10, 1952 the daughter of Fabian and Juana (Villegas) Trujillo. She married Simeon Cervantes on May 17, 1969 in San Felipe, Guanajuato Mexico.

Survivors include her husband Simeon; three sons Refugio (Serena) Cervantes, Juan Cervantes, and Jesus (Marisa) Cervantes; one daughter Yolanda Cervantes; two brothers Francisco (Margaret) Trujillo, and Martin Trujillo; one sister Guadalupe Trujillo; sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Juana was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Arturo Trujillo; one daughter Christina Cervantes; and one grand-daughter Alisea Pemmons.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11AM Thursday April 30, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sterling,with Reverend Carlos Monslave, officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to Mass at church from 10AM-11AM Thursday April 30, 2026. Graveside services will take place after Mass at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.
