Martha Jacob

ROCK FALLS- Martha L. (Noyes) Jacob, 93, of Rock Falls, died October 12, 2014. Martha was born April 1, 1921, in Mattoon, the daughter of Ebenezer and Estella (Anderson) Noyes. She married Dr. Joseph Jacob in Chicago. He preceded her in death on June 21 1984. . Martha graduated from Eastern Illinois College, in Charleston, in the 1930's. She retired September 1, 1981 as head Proof Reader for Commerce Clearing House Inc. . Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents; one sister, Thelma Butcher; and four brothers, Robbert, David, Arthur, and Eben Noyes. A graveside service will be 11:30 AM Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon, with Lt. T.J. Simmons of the Salvation Army, officiating.
