Martha Reyes, 87, of Naperville formerly of Rock Falls, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Martha was born on January 19, 1939, the daughter of Luis and Clementina (Arteaga) Velazquez. Survivors include her husband, Miguel Reyes; two sons: Miguel A. Reyes of Waterford MI, and Ruben Reyes of Illinois City; two daughters: Clementina (Victor) Reyes of Dixon and Patricia (Carlos) Magana of Naperville IL; one sister: Maria Bonnell of Sterling; Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Beatriz Garcia and two brothers: Arturo Velazquez and Salvador Velazquez. Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. -1:00p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, 702 First Avenue in Sterling, Illinois. Mass of The Christian Burial will be at 1:30p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 600 Avenue B in Sterling, Illinois with the Reverend Carlos Monslave officiating. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer’s Association.
