Mary Stover

August 20, 1940 — February 25, 2020

Mary J. Stover, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Mary was born August 20, 1940 in Sterling, the daughter of Howland and Myrna (Glass) Ellis. She married Stanley L. Stover June 19, 1964 in Nashua, IA. Mary loved to travel, spend the winter in Texas, golfing, and her grandchildren. Mary had a loving heart and will be sadly missed by all who got the privilege to call her grandma and aunt Mary. Survivors include her husband Stanley of Milledgeville; one son, Joel (Rhenda) of Milledgeville; one sister, Nancy Stern of Sterling; one granddaughter, Alexandria of Polo; and three bonus grandsons, Bradley Fogle of Polo, Riley Warnken of Milledgeville, and Jeremy Warnken of Milledgeville; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon Ellis and Robert Ellis; three sisters, June Mennen, Jeanette (Corky) Woodson, Marquerite (Joy) Mills; a very special grandson, Austin Lee Stover. A Private Memorial Service for close friends and immediate family will be at 11AM, Thursday February 27, 2020 at Dutchtown Church of the Brethren of Milledgeville, with Reverend Rich Koch, officiating.
