Melody Ann Boyer

Melody Ann Boyer, 67, of Morrison, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Pleasantview Nursing Home, Morrison.

Melody was born May 15, 1956 in Sterling, the daughter of Leo and Henrietta (Schultz) Manon. Melody loved any kind of shopping. From thrifting to garage sales, anything to spend money on, shopping was her hobby. She collected everything and loved giraffes.

Survivors include her husband Bret; four daughters, Tasha (Clay Stringer) O’Brien of Rock Falls, Tanya Gaffey of Rock Falls, Toni (Jason Willett) Bender of Rock Falls and Melinda (John) Shambaugh of Morrison; one son, Calvin Tompkins of Morrison; one sister, Patricia (Jack) Buckingham of Florida; one brother Dave (Alice) Manon of Tampico; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters in infancy, Mary Jo, Margaret and Jodi and two brothers, Lee and Greg Manon.

Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Rt 30 Slots, Rock Falls. All are welcome to join in celebrating Melody’s life with us.

A memorial has been established.
