Miguel Reyes, 90, of Naperville formerly of Rock Falls, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Miguel was born on July 5,1935, in Pachuca Hidalgo, Mexico, the son of Eulogio and Esperanza (Garcia) Reyes. 

   Miguel was employed by Northwestern Steel and Wire Company for 25 years, prior to retiring in 1989.  He was a devoted father and husband who loved socializing with his family and friends. He was an avid dominoes player, even at the age of 90. 

   Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Carlos) Magana of Naperville, IL and Clementina (Victor) Reyes of Dixon; two sons, Miguel A. Reyes of Waterford MI, and Ruben Reyes of Illinois City; three sisters, Julieta Aguilar of Rock Falls, Francisca (Jorge) Conde of Mexico and Amalia (Santos) Vasquez of Mexico; two brothers, Fernando (Estella) Reyes of Rock Falls and Alejandro (Rosa) Reyes of Mexico; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

   Miguel was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; his parents; three brothers, Alberto Reyes, Angel Reyes and Gonzalo Reyes; one sister, Elena Garcia; and one grandchild, David Reyes. 

   Visitation will be from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, 702 First Avenue in Sterling, IL. Mass of The Christian Burial will be at 1:30p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 600 Avenue B in Sterling, IL with the Reverend Carlos Monsalve, officiating.
