Rex Peugh

REX A. PEUGH STERLING- Rex A. Peugh, 87, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at his home. He was a lifetime farmer in the rural Coleta. Rex was born June 25, 1922 in Coleta, the son of Herman and Anna (Deets) Peugh. He married Betty Traum on December 23, 1944 in Clinton, IA. Survivors include his wife, Betty; two daughters, Linda (Bruce) Webb of Sterling and Diane (Richard) Boelkins of Morrison; one sister, Helen Mitchell of Sterling; four grandchildren, Heather (Bryan) Hamilton; Nicole (Brian) Wescott; Nathan (Julie) Boelkins and Jessica (Jim) White; and six great-grandchildren, Breanna Hamilton, Madison and Dylan Wescott, Jaxon Boelkins and Carson and Kinley White. He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Peugh; one sister-in-law, Mary Helen Peugh and one brother-in-law, Francis Mitchell. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Coleta Fire Department.
