Roger Eugene Maxwell, 64, of Sterling passed away Wednesday June 24, 2026 at home surrounded by his daughters. Roger was born October 09, 1961 in Sterling the son of Charles and Nancy (Hein) Maxwell. He married Kala Partridge on October 16, 1982 in Rock Falls.

   Roger’s favorite joys were playing golf and spending time with his 3 grandchildren.

   Survivors include his three daughters Stephanie (Joseph O’Halloran) Maxwell of West Allis WI, Katie (Cody) Rhodes of Bettendorf IA, and Emmalie (Zach Oldfield) Maxwell of Norwood Young America MN; three brothers Doug(Denise) Maxwell of Greenwood, IN, Steven(Kim) Maxwell of Glendale Heights, IL, Alan Maxwell of Mishawaka, IN, two sisters, Sherry(LeRoy) Smith of Sterling, and Michelle(Gary) Brown of Sterling; one brother-in-law Alan (Kris) Partridge of Rock Falls; three grandchildren Dylan Rhodes, Asher Rhodes, and Henry O’Halloran and many nieces and nephews.

   Roger was preceded in death by his wife Kala and his parents.

   Per Roger’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded.

   The family requests that any donations be made to Happy Tails in honor of Roger.
