Obituary

Ronald Paul Cook passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20th, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. Ron was born on November 13, 1954 in Normal, IL the son of Lorene Dahlke and the late Bob Cook. Ron graduated from Big Foot High School in 1972. He worked at Fairbanks Morse in Beloit, WI. as a Senior Designer until his retirement. Ron was never happier than when he was outdoors. Whether he was sitting quietly in a deer stand at sunrise, casing a line into a favorite fishing spot, or sharing stories of past adventures with family and friends, nature was where he felt most at home. His kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others will be remembered by all who knew him. Ron faced life's challenges with courage and faith. His love left an enduring mark on countless lives. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. We imagine him in eternal fields and still waters, where the fish are always biting, the woods are always quiet, and every sunrise reflects the beauty of his Creator. Ron will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

Ron is survived by his mother Lorene Dahlke, fiancee Sandy Feldberg, daughters Diana Early and Rebecca Krause; grandchildren Chase and Evan; brothers Randy (Gina) Cook, Mike Verba, sister Sherry (Mike) Verba and nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife Melody Cook, father Bob Cook and sister-in-lawJanet Verba.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation.
