Obituary of Alice Hammons

   Alice J. “Jo” Hammons, 74, of Morrison died Tuesday April 30, 2024 at home surrounded by family. Jo was born November 26, 1949 in Rushville IL, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Walker) Mathis. 

   Survivors include her husband Steve Hammons of Morrison; two daughters LeeAnn (Anthony) Tessier of Kewanee, and Tammy (Greg) Pruis of Morrison; one son Ryan (Amanda) Hammons of Spring Valley; fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and her beloved dog Saige.

   Jo was preceded in death by her parents.

   Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
